If you’re running Yoast SEO on WordPress, and you set a blog page to noindex, no follow using the advanced tab (so that search engines will stop indexing it), will images on that page also be removed from the search engines? Or do you need to do separate work to remove the images?
I’ve read a bit about using robots.txt for image removal, but in this case I’m trying to help a different webmaster with limited knowledge of these things. We’re hoping that noindex, nofollow on the page itself is enough to de-index the images on the page from image search.
Also, how long does it generally take for Google to recognize these sorts of changes and remove the content from searches?
Thank you.
