I am a recent Information Systems graduate, been working in IT help desk for about six months. I’ve been investigating making a switch into SEO for a few weeks now.
I’ve read that some agencies will take in new people with no direct SEO experience but perhaps have other technical skills.
I do have a small Wordpress niche blog online but I've read its going to be a long time before I have enough data and demonstrations to showcase what is really happening.
However, I guess you could argue my site showcases other skills (content writing from the blog posts, web design, technical aptitude from setting up the site and doing technical/on-page SEO optimization).
I suppose these are all things that an agency can see right now. Do you think it makes sense to start applying?
