Launch website now, or wait?

I am an amateur, getting ready to launch my shiny new squarespace site. Generally speaking, would it be best for me to go ahead and launch my site, and optimize seo over time? Or should I try to make the new site as perfect as possible before launching it? Thanks for the help gang!
