I have a client who switched a URL during a migration a number of months back. The original had some backlinks so obviously those are not helping now, and that means there are other sites directing to a 404. I found a traffic drop due to this and want to get it fixed, but since it's been so long I'm not sure if one course is better than the other. Is it better to switch the content back to the original URL or to do a 301 redirect from the original URL to the new one?
