As far as learning website development. My understanding is that including metadata in the HEAD of your website, and linking to the website externally (from other sites) is how you improve search engine optimization.
I've noticed SEO is a very huge deal though, and companies pay a lot of money for it. This sounds too easy to me. What else is there other than the two things I mentioned?
