Backlinks place a vital role in ranking factors. However, having a vast number of backlinks is not good - link quality matters. Here I share some excellent points one should remember while setting up link building campaigns.
- Choose the link partner wisely: The webpage which you like to have backlink should be related to your website, and should have a perfect anchor text.
- The website you are planning to get backlink should not use link spamming methods
- The site should have a high Google page rank. This is the crucial factor you should consider while planning.
- Getting too many backlinks in a short time. Note: don't do this. Because Google may consider you are using link spam techniques.
- It's recommended to have both reciprocal and one-way links pointing to your site.
- Take care about the diversity of your link profile: get many single backlinks from different sites rather than the same number of links from one site.
