Google has our sitemap, but Google search results have UTM codes from Facebook posts in URL

When I create a new blog post, our WordPress has a site map and it updates itself. Google Search Console seems to know where our sitemap is, etc.

Fast forward a few days and if I type our name and a keyword into google (to get our new page to show regardless of it would rank without the brand name), and I get our Facebook link as the Google link in search results.

/?utm_source=facebook.... etc etc.

This doesn’t seem to resolve over time when it happens, even though Google will occasionally run through our site and claim it’s reviewed the sitemap.

I thought Google ignored URLs after the ?, why is this the only index version even when they have access to the regular / ending URL in our sitemap?
