Does anybody understand how ranking works for the Google Maps results that appear at the top of SERP page 1?
Our new retail business slowly climbed those Map results rankings over the past year, appearing between page 2 and 3. Suddenly, about a month ago, we have dropped to nearly the last page. We are now being outranked by business with ZERO reviews or very low reviews that operate IN ANOTHER CITY!!!!!
Can anybody posit a potential reason for why we might be betting outranked in our own city by illegitimate business listings from other cities?
Totally baffled and frustrated.
