Making backlink building easier

A friend and I are currently working on a new platform where users get link swap proposals based on their sites' niches and SEO stats. We are at MVP-stage and looking for people who want to try it out and give feedback. And this might be just the right place to speak with people who care about such things!

The backstory:

If you are a crafty marketer, you will have sent or seen any of the following:

  • A cold email asking for an article to be linked
  • "I have a DR 65 in the [niche]. Hit me up if you want to collaborate."
  • "I will get you high-quality backlinks. No PBN. $50 per DR 50."

When we discovered this SEO part, we immediately thought "this sucks." It is tedious and annoying – and time-consuming. And it burns social capital, not to mention email deliverability.

How it works:

We thought that there would be a much more efficient way to accomplish the same by matching people that (1) want to collaborate, and (2) have sites that fit well together.

Our platform automates the process by taking into account various factors that people generally look for when swapping links: Domain rating/authority, traffic, niche, spam score. Our system matches sites with those that have the highest fit based on all of these factors.

Where we are:

We don't have a frontend yet since we are still in the process of validating our initial assumptions. The core functionality ("You got a match!") is delivered via email. The service is free for anyone to use since we did not want to worry about payments and all the other annoying business stuff until we have a reliable product in place.

If our assumptions hold, we will gradually expand and add more in-app functionality such as chat, link tracking, and possibly a marketplace – depending on what users need!
