SEO question about my new site Masking URL change (google ranking)

Backstory: So I am very new to SEO, I am interested in making my own portfolio-like website which will have personal projects, and blogs. The emphasis is on the blogs.

I bought a domain called khalidevans from google domains, and I'm hosting it on a computer science society server as they give us around 10GB of storage on it. Its amazing as a start.

Problem: Now when you go to khalidevans, it redirects you to the site which acts as a mask of another site which is actually sucsorg/coolide, so when you type in khali... the site URL then changes back to under the mask URL which is sucs.or... Will that affect my SEO? I am asking this because in google domains, it asked me whether this mask is temporary or permanent, and was wondering if it was temporary, the search engine won't like it as it may hate duplicate links on its search?

Would it also matter if half a year later I actually hosted my blogs (redirected the files where its hosted) to another server which it directly is hosted under the khali... domain with no masking URL? Will that -like- reset the SEO for google and my ranking?

I would really like any help or insight to these potential problems as I want to blog regularly but also have it more than an interest, a source of traffic and profit (with affiliate links)
